Fuji Sports Heads to the IBJJF European Championships 2026 in Lisbon

The dawn of the new year marks the beginning of a fresh season for IBJJF athletes, all chasing one goal and that is to secure their place in history. One of the most exciting stops on the calendar is the IBJJF European Championships, and Fuji Sports is proud to be part of the action again.

This year, we are heading to Portugal and we could not be more excited. The European Championships bring together the very best in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, with elite black belts, rising stars, and seasoned veterans all stepping onto the mats in pursuit of one of the sport’s most prestigious titles.

Be sure to stop by the Fuji Sports booth while you are at the championships. We will be showcasing our newest gear, designed and tested to meet the demands of the highest level of competition. Whether you are a competitor, coach, or fan, we would love to see you, talk jiu jitsu, and get you hands on with our latest releases.

We are also proud to share that Fuji Sports and Fuji Mats CEO Jimmy Pedro will be attending the championships in person. His presence highlights Fuji’s deep roots in grappling and our continued commitment to supporting athletes across both judo and jiu jitsu. Joining him will be Travis Stevens, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and Olympic silver medalist in judo. Travis continues to bridge the worlds of judo and BJJ.

We are also incredibly proud to support our sponsored athletes as they compete on one of the biggest stages in the sport. We are looking forward to watching Janaina Lebre, the 2025 European Champion, return to the mats, along with our Masters standout Bruno Bastos, who continues to inspire competitors around the world with his consistency and skill.

The stakes are higher than ever as the world’s most accomplished competitors converge in Lisbon, Portugal, for this major championship. With registration officially closed and the brackets stacked, fans can expect phenomenal action across every division. The legacy of the 2026 championships has only fueled anticipation, and this season promises unforgettable matches and compelling storylines.

From returning champions to hungry newcomers, the European Championships represent everything we love about jiu jitsu. The global spotlight will be shining, with live coverage on FloGrappling, starting January 15th.
