Care and Sizing Instructions
To preserve the life and fit of your Mizuno Judo Gi we recommend cold wash and hang dry. With this method your gi will shrink only up to one inch. Do not bleach if your heigh and weight fall into two different sizesm then we recommend the larger of the two sizes. Items can be returned as long as they have not been washed or worn.

Mizuno and their sizing charts

"I am 5’9”, 178lb. Size chart puts me at 3. Even after a few hot washes, it’s way too big. I recommend you getting a half size smaller than the chart says. Other than that, the gi is great."

Issue with Mizuno’s Sizing

"If you’re like me and are trying to look like Shohei Ono in your awesome Yusho Japan gi, don’t trust the Mizuno size chart attached to this product. My example: I am 5’9”, 176 lbs. Looking at the size chart, I am a size 3. When I got the gi, it was massive on me. I deliberated for a few days on whether I spend more shipping costs on sending it back or trying to shrink it. As you may know, as soon as you wash a gi, it is no longer returnable. I made the permanent mistake of attempting to shrink the gi by washing. After at least 3 washes in hot water, plus hot tumble drying, the gi has only shrunk a little bit. This is in no way a diss against the gi quality- it is fantastic. It solely falls onto the important gi sizing chart. I have high confidence that a 2.5 would have been perfect on me. TL:DR go a half size small."

I love this gi

"This gi is perfect"

Fit just right

"Probably the softest Gi I own. I have FUJI double weaves and other brands that you can stand the jacket up on end out the bag they are so stiff. They are great gi’s but this one is top notch. If it last the test of time then I will give it six stars. I am 5-10 215lbs out the bag a size 4 fit me well."

Q&A

Does the gi come with a belt
This GI does not come with a belt
I am 6’3” and run around 170-180 LB the 6.5 seems big what size do you recommend. I do not see that you make sizes in Long
GI sizing goes by weight and than height. We cannot guarantee sizing due to everyone being built so differently. You fall under the guidelines for size 3 for your weight but the GI will be short. You are a size 6 for your height but the GI will be VERY big.
hi, I am 5'9 and wiegh 140. What size would you recomend?
GI sizing goes by weight then height. We cannot guarantee sizing due to everyone. being built so differently. You fall under the guidelines for size 1.5 for your weight but this size will be very short. Size 2 for your height but the GI will be big and need to be altered. You can view the size guide on the items product page if needed.
