"Ippon Gear nailed it with this IJF gold check mark black obi! It's clean, modern, and very well put together. The stitching is great and the belt is firm and stiff the way I like it. The width is the perfect 1.8" IJF regulation as well. Beautiful well made belt! I believe Ippon makes their gi's and obi's in Germany. As with all obis, measure your waist with your judo jacket on or using your existing obi. Remember, the sizes shown are for single knots only. If you want to double knot or do a kata/Japanese knot, I'd recommend going up a size or you're going to end up with 2" little ends. Remember, obi ends must be 20-30 cm now, no more, no less and must match the brand of your jacket and pants (same logo, same brand) for all 3 items to be worn in IJF compliant competition (including kata)."
