Care and Sizing Instructions
To preserve the life and fit of your Mizuno Judo Gi we recommend cold wash and hang dry. With this method your gi will shrink only up to one inch. Do not bleach if your heigh and weight fall into two different sizesm then we recommend the larger of the two sizes. Items can be returned as long as they have not been washed or worn.

Best gi experience

"This gi is genuinely some of the best quality that they have! Its loose, the material feels amazing and it'll feel like an extension of yourself. Also the sizes are called half sizes, or so I've been told. As the other reviews have said, 3. 5 is great if you're 5'10, im about 165 and its fits amazing. If you get it, know that the front of the pants will have a signature and a hook in the front."

Mizuno Judo Olympic

"Great fit and sharp look on the mats. I love it!"

Great Judogi

"Really fine judogi! I had been using a BJJ gi, for Judo class, and it was nowhere near as comfortable. This is well-made, it doesn’t come undone easily and it feels great."

Your best option

"Excellent quality and Perfect fit"

James O. (5/5)

5'10", 200 lbs with a size 3. 5

"I picked up the Mizuno Olympic Gis in size 3. 5 in both blue and white. I’m 5’9. 5” and weigh 200 lbs. , and the fit of the top is excellent—even after running it through hot wash and hot dryer cycles. The jacket is an 80% cotton / 20% polyester blend, while the pants are 100% cotton, so expect them to shrink at different rates. I have a longer torso and shorter legs (a more “Roman build”), so the proportions work well for me. The quality is outstanding—I’ve owned many gis from different companies over the decades, and this is right up there at the top. If there’s one critique, it’s with the pants: they’re cut very generously through the thighs and the rise is quite long, which gives them a bit of a “parachute pants” look. Since these are the last gis I plan to buy, I had the pants tailored to clean up the fit. As a senior citizen who has recently returned to judo for health, recreation, and some light teaching, I can say without hesitation that this is a high-quality gi well worth the investment."

Mizuno doesn't know how to size correctly

"The sizing chart is unnecessarily difficult leading to purchasing the incorrect fit and requiring a return. I looked at multiple reviews, youtube, etc and still ended with the wrong size. There is absolutely no reason in this day and age to struggle finding clothes that fit correctly. Really disappointed."

High quality beautiful judo gi

"This gi is perfect for judo practice and competition. It is comfortable and fits well. The material is soft and feels silky. It also looks good. It will last a long time and endure many practices. The price is more than fair. I know I'll be using it for years."

Q&A

what is the difference between this gi and the expensive bird gi over $300.00
The Mizuno Yusho Japan (more expensive GI) is made in Japan of a very soft, comfortable cotton and the superior craftsmanship of a gi made in Japan cannot be beaten. With that being said, the Mizuno Yusho Comp & Olympic GIs are still fantastic gis and is more popular with the athletes because of the price point.
