"I’m Japanese, and while the outside of this Japan-themed jiu-jitsu gi is very simple, the lining is really cool—it features a design reminiscent of ukiyo-e—and I knew I wanted to buy it the moment I saw it. I hesitated to buy it because of the customs duties and shipping costs to Japan, but now that the gi has arrived, I’m very satisfied with it. I plan to take good care of it."

"I love the gi overall! The fit, feel, and quality are great. Unfortunately, on its maiden voyage to the mat, I ran into an issue with the drawstring. During a roll, my opponent grabbed the back of my waistband while attempting to take my back. The pressure caused the drawstring to snap completely in half. I had to sideline myself temporarily so I could tie the two broken pieces together just to continue training. For a BJJ gi designed to withstand the pulling, gripping, and stress of live rolling, I definitely think the drawstring needs to be made from a stronger, more durable material. A drawstring should be able to handle normal grappling situations without breaking, especially during its very first use. I still really like the gi and would recommend it, but I hope the manufacturer considers upgrading the drawstring in future versions. I also plan to contact customer service to see if they can send me a replacement. Great gi, just needs a drawstring tough enough to keep up with it! 🥋🤙"
